COVID-19: FG Extends Airport Closure by 14 Days

The Federal Government has reportedly extended the closure of airports in the country by 14 days due to the coronavirus pandemic.

FG via the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, disclosed this on Monday. The minister confimed airports will be closed for another 14 days amidst the coronavirus pandemic.

He said, “COVID-19. As a result of the extension on lockdown by Mr President it is no longer possible for us to open our airspace and airports for normal operations by the 23rd April, 2020.

“They will remain closed for a further 2 weeks. This subject to review as appropriate.”
